Where does your Palo Santo essential oil come from?
Palo Santo essential oil can only be harvested once the tree has been dead for several years. It must also have died naturally, not be chopped down.
In Ecuador, these trees are protected. It is illegal to remove them or cut them down. D Gary Young, the founder of Young Living Essential Oils, spent 2 years researching the oil and now Young Living Palo Santo has the highest chemical constituency that can be achieved, including 58.6% d-limonene, unheard of in a tree. D Gary Young also established a farm in Chongon, Ecuador to help protect these precious trees
It is just part of Young Living to ensure sustainable sources of stock as well as sustainable and ethical practices that support the community surrounding the farm. Chongon is now also the home of the Young Living Foundation Academy that ensures the children of the community have the best opportunity for education available and boasts 100% of seniors graduating. Pretty impressive for a country were only 20% of locals graduate from high school.

I first met Andrea when I was looking for a Yoga Instructor in my area. Her vibrancy came through the phone line like a breeze of crisp fresh air. I knew nothing about Kundalini Yoga but it has been and continues to be a wonderful journey of self discovery.
Andrea is also a wonderful healer using many different modalities to help her clients achieve optimal health throughout their lives.
How and when did you discover Young Living Essential Oils?
I have experienced many different types and brands of essential oils and I've never really experienced much difference on a vibrational or emotional level in my life using them, apart from the fact that they would smell nice. When Veronika walked into my yoga class wearing Aroma Seiz the smell instantly sparked a sensory awakening and I immediately asked her what she was wearing and that I needed to have that oil! When I went to her house to smell the other Young Living essential oils I realized their vibration was like nothing else I've ever come across and I have been working with them in my clinic and yoga studio ever since. This is helping my clients and students create wonderful shifts and changes in their lives.
How do you use them in your home and business?
I use Thieves products very regularly for cleaning. I love putting the lemon essential oil in my water. I use the peppermint essential oil if I ever feel the need for more mental clarity. I also use the Thieves hand wash and the toothpaste every day. The Sandalwood moisturizer is amazing! I have a friend who has been through chemotherapy and her skin dried out. I gave her a tub of sandalwood moisturiser and she absolutely loved and it's transformed her skin. I also love the savvy makeup range, especially the powder foundation.
I use Young Living Essential Oils every day in my clinic for people to release emotions. I offer them a choice of three and they choose an oil that they are drawn to. It creates beautiful shifts for them while they're having their healing session. In my yoga classes, students can choose the oil the their most attracted to at the time and they love this experience.
What are some of the changes that you have seen in your life and those around you since using the vast range of quality products that come from Young Living?
People are drawn to the vibration of young living oils and they experience change within their home, within their lifestyle and the home balance. They use them with their children at home for calming them at night, they use them in their home for family balance and harmony. And they know when they stop using the oils because less desirable patterns start recurring within the home and family members. Yes I'd say on an emotional and a calming level they work quite profoundly.
What is your vision for 2019?
To help educate as many people as we can when it comes to finding ways to relieve the stress, and often sadness in their lives, and to bring them to a place of balance, harmony and ultimately happiness. Using essential oils regularly is a wonderful addition to this.
